Self-catering Menorca Villa Holidays

Our beautiful self-catering Menorca villa is situated 15 minutes from the capital Mahon and a 20 minute stroll from Calas Fonts with its harbour, many restaurants and shops. Local beaches and clear water coves are within a 15 minute drive and close by, in the village of Trebaluger, is an excellent supermarket which seems to open all hours. However, a visit to the fish and vegetable market in Mahon is a must.

Mahon, the capital of Menorca, has the second largest natural harbour in the World. Mahon has many restaurants, bars, shops and places to sit and watch the sailing boats coming and going. The climate is typically Mediterranean and the sea is of the clearest blue and warm enough for swimming from June to October. Menorca has an abundance of superb sandy beaches and crystal clear coves for snorkelling and rock bathing which can be explored on foot or by boat. The waters around Menorca are ideal for sailing, scuba diving, snorkelling and windsurfing, with no tides and few currents. Menorca has a multitude of sheltered bays for anchoring, including Mahon, Fornells and Port Addaya. The more experienced sailor can sail further afield to Majorca or mainland Spain. Eating out on Menorca can be simple and cheap, or a gastronomic experience. We know many Menorca restaurants serving authentic Menorcan specialities where you will be served personally by the owners who look after every detail with care and thought. They all have interior and open air spaces in pleasant and traditional surroundings. Of course, it is in Mahon where mayonnaise (mahonesa) was invented and this is liberally served with many authentic dishes.

For those that tire of the beaches or lounging by the pool there are many interesting walks to suit all types from a gentle stroll to a more energetic ramble across open Menorca countryside.
